JVA Bootcamp

Bootcamp Curriculum.

Through lectures, workshops and group work, we'll help you gain an understanding of innovation and discover to build the next possible solution for a problem statement. All our programs are designed to empower students from various backgrounds including software engineering and social sciences.

A public showcase where each team pitches their startup to mentors, investors and the wider JVA community — your first real audience.

Kick-off weekend to meet your cohort, form teams and align on goals, expectations and the rhythm of the next three months.

Requirements

Application Requirements.

University Student

You should be a registered university student or just out of graduation to join our program.

Based in Tokyo

Due to our weekly in-person sessions and group work, students are required to live nearby in Tokyo for the duration of the program.

Interested in Startups

You have to show a strong interest in startups. Ideally, you have already gained experience in the field of entrepreneurship, product design or coding related.

Application Process.

To ensure that applicants satisfy the requirements for our program with regards to motivation and skill, we have setup a 3-stage application process consisting of an online application and an interview.

Step 01

Online Application

Fill out our application form, which will take you 10-15 minutes. Once submitted, you will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours. If you don't hear back within 3 days, please contact us via email.

Step 02

Interview

Once you pass the initial screening stage, we will invite you to a 30-minute interview. The interview consists of a personal and analytical round, in which we want to evaluate your motivation and skill sets. It's also your chance to get to know more about our mission and learning objectives.

Step 03

Results

We usually make all the decisions within 7 days after the final interview. You will receive an email with the decision and further instructions on how to proceed.

This is where the magic happens! We hold all our weekly lectures at the headquarters of Shibuya Startup Support. The space also hosts international founders and startup events on a regular basis.
